O'Neill's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Ord Chanticleers with a sharp 10-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won ten contests by six runs or more so far this season. Rylee Selby made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Selby was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was her first of the season. In other batting news, O'Neill let Bristol Scott and Aubrey Blackburn run wild. Scott went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and one double, while Blackburn went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most hits Blackburn has posted since back in August of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Drueke, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. O'Neill always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ord only posted an OBP of .300. O'Neill now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Ord, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-15. If O'Neill was riding high fresh off their 10-2 takedown of Ord on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles fell just short of the Ponca Indians by a score of 4-3 on Saturday. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Indians earlier this season, when they won 9-0. Rylee Selby spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on four hits and racked up 12 Ks. Those 12 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her. At the plate, O'Neill saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bristol Scott, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. O'Neill's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Ponca, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-10. O'Neill lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Pierce, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Saturday's game. The Eagles' pitcher stepped up to hand the Bluejays an 11-0 shutout on Saturday. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by six runs or more this season. The team relied heavily on Grace Drueke, who went 1-for-2 with three runs. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Dani Rowse, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI. O'Neill now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Pierce, their loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 8-13. Coming up, O'Neill will venture away from home to take on Guardian Angels Central Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bluejays' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Pierce, they will be playing at home against Twin River at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bluejays' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Titans have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season.
