Renegades 2-2 On Season

The CWC Renegades are sitting at 2-2 after a tough 33-8 loss to the Twin Loup Wolves at Sargent.

The Wolves held the Renegades to 274 total yards and one score by Trey Blackmore and the conversion by Mason Knox.

Hayes Pokorny led rushing for CWC with 12 carries for 46 yards; Jayden Hewitt had three carries for 24 yards; Michael Jesse had five carries for 16 yards, and Blackmore had six carries for 11 yards.

Knox led the CWC Receivers with two catches for 26 yards; Blackmore had four catches for 23 yards; Jackson Write had four catches for 10 yards; and Hayes Pokorny and Kayden Isom each had two catches for nine yards.

Leading the CWC defense were Wright and Parker Freouf, each with 15 tackles; Blackmore had eight tackles, Daniel Kluver and Jesse each had seven tackles; Carter Metschke each had five tackles; Isom had four tackles,  Hewitt had two tackles, and Justin Guggemmos had one tackle.

The Renegades ran 48 plays and had 10 first downs with four penalties for 35 yards. The Wolves ran 54 plays for 13 first downs and had four penalties for 25 yards.

The Renegades will face Anselmo-Merna this Friday at Merna High School.
