Kearney — Harry E. Potter, 94, of Kearney, died Saturday, May 4, 2024 at the Central Nebraska Veteran's Home in Kearney. A private family service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Assembly of God Church in O'Neill in Harry's name. Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services in Kearney is in charge of arrangements. Harry was born in 1929 to Clarence and Esther (Larsen) Potter in Lynch. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. In 1952 he married Phyllis McGhehey. Harry graduated college in 1964 with a doctorate degree in dentistry and he practiced in O'Neill. His favorite activities were hunting, fishing, camping and farming. Harry is survived by his daughter Judy (Steve) Nicholsen, two grandchildren Reanna and Eric, one great-granddaughter Eleanor, along with his sister Lois Roggow and husband.
