The Stuart Bronco Football Team won its third consecutive District Championship last Thursday night, defeating Ansley-Litchfield 53-21. The Spartans started the game strong with a touchdown drive on their first possession. The Broncos settled in and responded with 19 unanswered points to get to the half. The Broncos started the second half with a touchdown drive and never looked back. The ground game led the Broncos to racking up 425 yards for the contest. Owen Littau led the way with 25 carries for 169 yards and one touchdown. Kayde Ramm rushed for 118 yards and threw for another 71 yards. Ramm accounted for five touchdowns. He had three rushing and two passing. Gavynn Mustin had a touchdown reception for 37 yards, and Drew Schmaderer had one for 10 yards. Schmaderer also ran for 98 yards and a score. The defense, again, was dominating for the Broncos. Owen Littau led the way with 19 total tackles. Ben Paxton had 10 tackles. Drew Schmaderer, Hunter Tubbs, and Kayde Ramm each accounted for four. Gavynn Mustin chipped in with two tackles but had a game-closing pick six for 55 yards in the fourth quarter. The Broncos finished the regular season with a record of 7-1 and are District Champions. They earned the third seed in the playoffs and will host Hampton on Friday night. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.
