The O'Neill Lady Eagles have taken top spot in the O'Neill Holiday Tournament, downing St. Paul 72-38 on Friday and winning over North Central 58-39 on Saturday. The Wildcats went into the tourney 4-2 before facing the Eagles. The Eagles had a three-point lead going into the second stanza before they put up 27 points in the second to give them a 38-16 lead at the half. St. Paul managed to score 14 in the third, but the Eagles' offense kept the pressure on for a 34-point win. Hannah Hilker led O'Neill with 19 points, three rebounds and two steals; Olivia Young had 10 points, one rebound and one steal; Bergyn Classen had five points, three rebounds and one steal; Mady Heiss had four points, three rebounds and one steal; Rylee Selby had four points four rebounds and one steal; Ashley Sidak had three points, two rebounds and three steals; and Serena Chavez one point. The Lady Knights played hard, but the Eagles' three-point game was on fire, with 10 three-pointers made. Hannah Hilker had a very impressive 31 points, with seven three-pointers, six rebounds and six steals; Young had seven points, two rebounds and five steals; Selby had seven points, one rebound and two steals; Classen had five points, two rebounds and one steal; and Heiss had two point, three rebounds and two steals.
