After a string of losses, the St. Mary's Cardinal boys have once again gotten into their groove when they faced Anselmo-Merna last Saturday, Jan. 6. From the start, it seemed the Cardinals were still out of it, falling 9-7. Quarter two turned the game completely in the Card's favor however, when they took it 20-5. During the half, the boys kept up the pace and put up another 20 points while holding their opponent to just seven. The final quarter showed the Coyotes attempting to creep up to the Cards, putting up 17. The Cards were still one step ahead though, when they put up 19 points to win the match 66-38. Logan Brabec scored high with 25 points, shooting three of five three-pointers for 60 percent and six of seven two-pointers for 86 percent. Brabec also had four rebounds and six steals; Ben Barlow not far behind with 22 points, seven rebounds and three steals; Gage Hedstrom had 10 points, seven rebounds and one steal; Drake Berg four points; Eli Banks three points, eight rebounds and one steal; Sam Barlow two points and three rebounds; Max Berg five rebounds and one steal; and Carson Dannenbring one rebound.
