Last week was a fairly quick one for the Stuart Broncos, with only one match against Valentine. So far, the Broncos have been doing great this year, but in this match, they were outdone by the visitors.

The boys beat Valentine in the third quarter by one point, but all others favored the opposition. Valentine came out on top by a score of 56-46.

Drew Schmaderer scored 14 points, four rebounds and two steals; Ben Paxton had 13 points and five rebounds; Hunter Tubbs nine points and nine rebounds; Kayde Ramm five point and six rebounds; Jameson Estill three points and Owen Littau two points and two steals.

On Thursday, Jan. 30 the Broncos faced the St. Mary's Cardinals Unfortunately, their match against the Cardinals didn't go as they might have hoped. They fell behind from the beginning, and never managed to catch up. In quarter four, they managed a tie, but the game still fell in favor of the Cardinals.

Drew Schmaderer had a respectable 17 points and eight rebounds; Hunter Tubbs had 13 points and 12 rebounds; Ben Paxton eight points and 10 rebounds; Kayde Ramm five points and two steals; Jameson Estill and Owen Littau three points each and Kaige Krieger two points.

On Saturday, Feb. 1 the Broncos visited Bartlett to face Niobrara-Verdigre on neutral ground for the first game of the NVC Tourney. 

After losing to St. Mary's, the Broncos weren't playing around. They came out booming this match, getting up to 35 points in the first half of the game, while the opponent sat  at just 18.

For the Broncos, it was only up from there. They were sinking baskets while the opponent simply looked on. In the end, the Broncos took the match by a heavy 70-32 final score.

Tubbs led the team to victory with 17 points and five rebounds; Littau had 13 points and five rebounds; Trey Wallinger nine points; Schmaderer and Lane Boelter seven points; Paxton six points, six rebounds and five steals and Estill five points.

The Broncos faced EPPJ on Monday, Feb. 3  and came away with a 43-19 loss to the Wolf Pack. The Broncos kept pace with EPPJ until the second stanza when the Wolfpack put up 15 unanswered points from which Stuart couldn't come back from.
