The St. Mary's Cardinals saw mixed results last week when they visited Cedar Catholic and hosted Winside. They first traveled to Cedar Catholic on Tuesday, Jan. 21. The Cardinals started this match strong, taking an early seven-point lead. A crushing 18-5 second round brought the Cards spiraling behind. The Cardinals tried to dig themselves out and put up a solid 22-16 third. Now tied going into the finale, it was anyone's guess for the victor. After a while, it was clear the Trojans would take back the game, winning by just four points. Ben Barlow had an impressive 21 points and five rebounds; Logan Brabec had 14 points, two rebounds and four steals; Gage Hedstrom 10 points, six rebounds and one steal; James Eby eight points and two rebounds; Risken Dawson five points and 10 rebounds and Eli Banks two rebounds.
