Riley Wakefield of O'Neill brought home the championship in Steer Wrestling at the Big Pendleton Round-Up Rodeo at Pendleton, OR. In the first round, Wakefield placed fourth with a time of 5.4 seconds winning $2,683. He tied for fourth in the second round with a run of 5.7 seconds and won $2,395. In the final round he had a time of 6.2 and tied for third winning $652. His time of 17.3 on three runs won him the average which paid $6,611. Placing in all three runs and winning the average netted Riley a total payout of $12,341. Wakefield is the son of Jim and Susan Wakfield of O'Neill.
