Spencer — Pamela "Pam" Rae Tikalsky, 69, of Spencer, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2022 at her home near Spencer.

Visitation was held Monday, Jan. 10, 2022 at Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill with a prayer service led by Pastor Phil Henning.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2022 at the mortuary in O'Neill. Pastor Paul Hirsch officiated.

Burial was in the Cedar Lawn Cemetery in rural Spencer.

Memorials may be made to the family for future designation.

Pamela was born in Lynch on June 22, 1952 to Ted and Mae (Miller) Crawford. She attended Spencer High School, graduating in 1970.

Pam met Robert Tikalsky and they later married on June 14, 1974 on her family farm. They had a wedding dance at the old Ash Grove Hall. To this union two boys were born Jon and Tom. 

The couple made their home in O’Neill, until 1978 when they moved to Page. Then in 1985, the couple moved to the Crawford family farm near the Niobrara River.

After getting married, Pam attended Northeast Community College in Norfolk to become a nurse. She started working at the hospital in Lynch before working in O’Neill as a nurse and several other nursing homes around the area. 

Pam loved living on and working on the farm. She was an avid gardener, canner and baker.

Pam was a member of the Page American Legion Auxiliary Post 315 and a member of the Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in O’Neill.

 Pam is survived by her husband of 47 years Bob Tikalsky of Spencer, two sons Jon Tikalsky and Tom Tikalsky both of Spencer, two grandchildren Lexy and Andrea Tikalsky, one sister Clyonne Lederer of San Antonio, Texas and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter-in-law Lyndsey Tikalsky in 2017, two siblings Wilma Jeane (Wilbur) Staples and LaDona (Lloyd) Whetham and two brothers-in-law Bud Lederer and Burt Johnson.
