On Tuesday, Oct. 12, The Lady Cardinals traveled to Osmond to meet up with the Tigers. This match proved to be a tough one to the very last set, but when the match was over, the Cards celebrated the win. The win took all of the five sets though, 25-23, 22-25, 24-26, 25-21 and 15-5. Leading scorers for the Cards were Sophomore Mya Hedstrom with 27 kills, four aces, one block and 27 digs; Junior Emma Winkelbauer nine kills, one ace, six blocks, three digs and one assist; Sophomore Lorissa Reiman, five kills, eight digs and one assist; Sophomore Joslyn Eby four kills, one block and one dig; Sophomore Emma Otte three kills, two aces, one block, seven digs and one assist; Sophomore Alissa Brabec two kills, three aces, two blocks, 10 digs and 45 assists; Junior Hope Williamson 29 digs and one assist; and Sophomore Hannah Gleason four digs. Then on Thursday, Oct. 14, The Cards played host to the Summerland Bobcats. Again they were hard fought sets, but this time the Cards were on the losing side of the scoreboard. They played four sets, losing 24-26, 23-25, 25-14 and 20-25. The Niobrara Valley Conference Tournament began on Monday, Oct. 18.
