By Colin Schurman, Head Girls' Basketball Coach The Lady Broncos traveled to Santee on Friday night and hosted Valentine on Saturday. The Lady Broncos ended the weekend 1-1. The lady Broncos had to battle back against Santee on Friday night. Being down 14 at one point in the game, the Lady Broncos cut the lead to four at the end of third quarter and took the lead in the fourth to a 53-51 win. The lady Broncos out-scored Santee 32-30 in the second half. The lady Broncos were 24/32 from the free throw line. Sarah Wallinger had a big night for the Lady Broncos. Wallinger had 19 points and five rebounds. Wallinger scored 14 of her 19 in the second half. Reagan Stracke had 14 points for the Lady Broncos. Stracke had four assists, as well. Addison Steinhauser had nine points and three rebounds. Sydney Estill hit some key buckets on the way to her six points and five rebound night. Cecelia Addison hit two key free throws for the lady Broncos late in the game. Against the lady Badgers, the lady Broncos struggled offensively. The lady Broncos had the game to 12 points in the fourth quarter but the lady Badgers were just too much. Wallinger led the way again for the lady Broncos. She had 15 points and five rebounds. Addison Steinhauser had a solid game with seven points with seven points and eight rebounds. Sydney Estill had three points and four rebounds. The lady Broncos have a busy week with games on Monday, Thursday and NVC tournament starts on Saturday.
