Jack was born on Sept. 26, 2005 to Andy and Brianna (Stiner) Hoffman in Atkinson. He passed away on Jan. 15, 2025 at the age of 19 after a long battle with a brain tumor.

Jack grew up a Husker fan like every other little boy in Nebraska and enjoyed everything about living in a small town. Jack attended school at West Holt Public Schools in Atkinson, graduating in May of 2024.

He was thankful to be able to participate in multiple extracurricular activities, including band, football and track. He enjoyed everyone at school and worked hard to do well, along with making plenty of smart-aleck remarks and playing a few practical jokes.

Jack was honored to be admitted into the Kearney Law Opportunities Program at the University of Nebraska-Kearney and made the dean's list his first semester despite having to overcome the challenges that came along with tumor progression. He was working toward becoming a small-town attorney, following in his dad's footsteps.

After Jack started chemotherapy for pediatric brain cancer at age 6, his parents saw the lack of treatment options for kids and started the Team Jack Foundation to raise research money and awareness of the disease.  Although he was a quiet, unassuming child, Jack was thrust into the limelight and asked to be a spokesperson for the disease, which he continued to do until the time of his death.

Family was number 1 for Jack. Jack never missed an opportunity to spend time with family and friends.

Jack enjoyed hunting, fishing, vacationing in warm places, attending Husker football games and most of all going to the river. He loved boating, wakeboarding, jet skiing, grilling and watching the sunset on the water (closing the lake down as his dad called it), and he especially loved sharing it all with family and friends.

Jack is survived by his mom Brianna; two sisters Ava and Reese; grandparents Kerry and Bonnie Stiner of Burke, SD and Gary and Karen Hoffman of Spencer; aunts, uncles and cousins Tiffany and Nate Miller (Noah, Luke, Graham) of Sioux Falls, SD, Kollin and Sarah Stiner (Isabel, Nora, Karson) of Mendota Heights, MN, Tony and Amy Hoffman (Alison and Justin, Samantha and Cody, Nathan and Emma and families) of Crofton, Mike and Jacky Hoffman (Lauryn and Jared, Amelia, Hudson, Hayden) of Spencer and Julia and Chris Jones (Luke, Matt, Nate) of Tellico Plains, TN.

Greeting Jack in heaven were his dad Andy Hoffman and his uncle Luke Hoffman.
