Norfolk — Gary Lee Krugman, 67, of Norfolk, formerly of O'Neill, died Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2022 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, 2022 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Norfolk. Memorials may be made to the family for future designation. Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill is in charge of the arrangements. Gary was born Feb. 1, 1955 in Lynch, to Frederick and Lettie (Tubbs) Krugman. He joined his older siblings Linda and Dale. The family lived near Redbird until they purchased the family farm, north of O'Neill. He attended country school and graduated from O'Neill High School in 1972. While in high school, Gary was a good football and baseball player. Gary married Debra Goldfuss and two children were born, Chris and Kerry. Gary married Connie Emme and Katie was born and he had two stepsons, Dan and Delwin Ruda. Gary married Debbie Scroggin and there were two stepchildren, Trisha Thies and Greg Scroggin. He worked for Holt County roads for 17 years and several jobs in Grand Island, especially enjoying Heartland Electric work. Gary was an avid hunter, calling in geese - teaching young family members his skills, enjoyed his dogs through the years, bowling, golf and a great fishing trip anytime and spending time with family, especially the grandkids. Gary is survived by his three children Chris (Melissa) Blum of Norfolk and their children Eli, Kadence, Jocelyn and Huxley, Kerry Koerting of Norfolk and her children Elise and Adilyn and Katie Sage of Vermillion, SD and her daughter Zoe; one sister Linda (Gene Van Massenhove) Krugman of St. Anthony, MN; one brother Dale (Susan) Krugman of O'Neill; four nephews Jon (Kathy) Van Massenhove of Portland, OR, Mark (April) Van Massenhove of Oakdale, MN, Daniel (Monica) Krugman and Tim (Falycia) Krugman, all of O'Neill; and numerous friends and family that will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his father Fred Krugman in 2014, his mother Lettie Krugman in 2021 and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
