Atkinson — Ferne Charlene Slaymaker, 94, of Atkinson, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2022 at her home in Atkinson after a two-year battle with Alzheimer's and dementia. Visitation was held Friday, Jan. 7, 2022 at Seger Funeral Home in Atkinson with a prayer service. Visitation continued Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022 at Faith Wesleyan Church north of Atkinson. Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022 at the church near Atkinson with the Atkinson Fire Department standing as honor guards. Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Atkinson. Memorials may be made to the family for future designation.
