Charlotte Rae Dick, 58, of O'Neill, formerly of Inman and Columbus, died Monday, June 9, 2025 at her home in O'Neill.

Private graveside services will be held at the O'Neill Cemetery in O'Neill. Pastor Bob Wynn will officiate.

Memorials may be made to Camp Witness in Long Pine in Charlotte's name.

Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill is in charge of the arrangements.

Charlotte was born on June 20, 1966 the youngest daughter of Clifford and Lillian (Sandall) Dick at St. Anthony's Hospital in O'Neill. She grew up on the family farm two miles southeast of Inman, where she both worked and played with her two brothers and two sisters. 

During her childhood, she helped milk cows, move irrigation pipe, as well as process chickens, fruits and vegetables during the summer. As a treat, her father would take her fishing occasionally on summer evenings. She attended Vacation Bible school at Center Union Church and Sunday services at O'Neill United Methodist Church. She also spent a week each summer at Camp Witness, where she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior in her early years.

Charlotte attended Inman Public Grade school from kindergarten through eighth grade, before moving on to O'Neill Public High School. She graduated in 1984, a National Honor Society member. Charlotte obtained an associate degree from Northeast Nebraska Community College.  

She moved to Columbus and worked at Valentino's, before switching hats after a few years to work at Pizza Hut. During her years in Columbus, she received an associate's degree in computer programming.  

She enjoyed spending time with her cousins in the Columbus area. She moved back to O'Neill in 2023 and worked part-time at Bomgaars during the spring and summer.

  Charlotte enjoyed collecting Coca-Cola, M & M and Nascar collectibles, baseball and football trading cards, cookbooks, music from her teenage years and favorite movies. She loved to read romance mystery and drama novels. She enjoyed cooking and gifting presents at Christmas to family and playing card games with family during the holidays.

Charlotte is survived by her two sisters Carmen (Eric) Troxel and Dawn (Brian) Knapp; two brothers Dallas Dick and Sherwin (Deanne) Dick; five nephews Dalton (Erin) Dick, Dillon Dick, Anthony Knapp and Evan and Ivan Troxel; five nieces April Troxel, Melissa (Knapp) Johnson, Brittany Knapp, Davita (Jeremy) Bervin and Kaitlyn Dick; one great-nephew,Winston; and one great-niece Annika Dick.

She was preceded in death by her parents Clifford and Lillian (Sandall) Dick, her sister-in-law Elizabeth Dick, grandparents John and Martha Dick and Archibald and Ruth Sandall and several aunts and uncles.
