Cards Make Easy Work Of Weeks Games

The St. Mary's boys had light work last week winning easily over Santee on Tuesday, Jan 18, 93-65.

The game was a score fest for the Cardinals and the Santee Warriors didn't do bad either, racking up 30 points before the half while the Cards put 49 on the boards.

Leading the Cards was Aidan Hedstrom with 36 points shooting 12 of 17 for 71 percent in the two-point range, Hedstrom had four rebounds; Blake Benson had 23 points, hitting six of eight for 75 percent in three-pointers, Benson had five rebounds and two steals; Adam Everitt 15 points, ten rebounds and two steals; Tate Thompson seven points, five rebounds and two steals; Dalton Alder five points, two rebounds and one steal; Isaac Everitt four points, three rebounds and two steals; and Sam Barlow three points.

 On Thursday, Jan 20 the Cards hosted the Winside Wildcats and had no trouble downing them 66-28. The Cards held the Wildcats to 16 points in the first half while scoring 43 points to lead at the half 43 -16. In the second half, the Cards took it easy on the Wildcats letting the bench play.

 Leading the Cards were Isaac Everitt with 17 points, eight rebounds and two steals; Hedstrom 15 points, three rebounds and two steals; Benson 10 points, two rebounds and one steal;

Adam Everitt eight points, eight rebounds and three steals; Gabe Pribil six points and two rebounds; Thompson five points, nine rebounds and one steal; Dalton Alder three points and one steal; and Charles Barlow two points and five rebounds.
