Arlene Kay Klein, 78, of O'Neill died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2021 at her home in O'Neill.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 13, 2022 at the Lincoln Memorial Park Chapel in Lincoln.

Burial will be in the Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery in Lincoln.

Memorials may be made to the family for future designation.

Arlene was born Oct. 12, 1943 to J.W. and Verda McNally in Ainsworth.

Arlene attended school in Ainsworth and graduated with the class of 1963. After graduation Arlene moved to Lincoln to begin her work in the surgical department of Bryan Memorial Hospital, retiring after 50 years of service.

Arlene was united in marriage to Ralph R. Klein Sr. and continued residence in Lincoln. After Ralph's death in 1988 and her retirement she moved to O'Neill in 2013 to be closer to family.

Arlene was an avid reader, game show watcher and Big Red football fan. 

As a devoted Christian, Arlene was an active member in the O'Neill United Methodist Church. 

Nieces and nephews could always count on her to remember them on their birthdays with a card and money equal to their ages.

Arlene is survived by three nieces Sandra (Randy) Rowan of Mills, Martha McNally of Columbus, GA and Cindy McNally of Ainsworth; two nephews Mark McNally of Ainsworth and David (DiAnn) McNally of Springfield, MO; one sister-in-law Connie McNally of Ainsworth; and great -nieces and -nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents J.W. and Verda McNally; husband Ralph Klein Sr.; four brothers Harold, Orel, Donald (Thelma) and Dale (Maxine); and four nephews Ron, Mike, Steve and Carey McNally.
