The O'Neill Eagles have concluded their 2025 season at the hands of the Elkhorn Mount Michael Knights, who defeated the Eagles on Halloween night by a score of 28-14. The Eagles played a tough game, but the Knights had size and speed on their side. The Knights took charge later in the first with 5:15 in the first on a touchdown pass and got things going. After a series of plays by the Eagles, the Knights took the Eagle punt in for a touchdown to lead the quarter at 14-0. The Knights scored in the middle of the second quarter on a field goal before the Eagles' quarterback, Turner Heiss, ran a touchdown in on a draw play to put the Eagles on the board and trail 17-7 at the half. The Knights put 11 more points on the board in the third to finish scoring in the match. Heiss again scored for the Eagles with 1:44 in the game on a quarterback sneak. The Eagles kicked an onside kick and recovered the ball, but the damage was done, and the clock ran out on the season for O'Neill. The Eagles ran 67 plays on the night and had 20 first downs with six penalties for 61 yards. The Eagles finish their season 8-2.
