Veterans day is honored every 11th of November, and to celebrate, the O'Neill St. Mary's High School will be hosting the annual Veterans Day Program this Tuesday, Nov. 11. This celebration is put on every year at the schools to commemorate those who have served for our country. In years before, St. Mary's invites Veterans to visit with those attending to share stories of their service. They also ask that everyone pay their respects to the flag and recite the Pledge of Allegiance. The program begins at 10 a.m. on Tuesday in the gym at the High School and is open to anyone who would like to join. This is a special day each year that recognizes all-too-often overlooked heroes. All it takes is to take a few short seconds to say "thank you" to one of these heroes to make their day.
