The regular board meeting of the O'Neill Public School Board of Education was called to order by President Amy Jo Rowse at 7:30 pm, on Monday, April 14, 2025 at the Administrative Offices at 635 North 4th Street, O'Neill, Nebraska.

• Track Update

A motion to enter closed session at 8:49 pm to discuss and consider the settlement counter-offer regarding the track defects, conduct a strategy session regarding pending litigation and provide negotiating guidance to the superintendent and district legal counsel concerning the same to protect the public interest, to protect the attorney-client privilege, and is authorized by Nebraska statute, passed with a motion made by Aaron Sorensen and seconded by Coby Welke.

• Compensation for Substitutes, Developing Eagles, Interpreters, Accompanist, and Off Contract Certified Staff

A motion to approve the proposed 2025-2026 Additional Compensation Rates as presented with an increase to the daily substitute and nurse substitute rate to $135.00 and the long term sub rate to $145.00, passed with a motion made by Mark Thompson and seconded by Coby Welke.
