The St. Mary's Boys had a long week, starting with a game against Neligh/Oakdale on Tuesday, Dec. 17, and then traveling to Springview on Friday, Dec. 20, to play North Central and then McCool Junction on Saturday. On Tuesday, the Cards crushed Neligh/Oakdale 80-16. Leading the Cards was Gage Headstrom with 24 points, five rebounds and four steals; Eli Banks had 13 points, four rebounds and one steal; Xzavier Parks, nine points, one rebound and one steal; Max Berg nine points, six rebounds and four steals; Logan Brabec had eight points, three rebounds and one steal; Drake Berg ahad eight points and five rebounds; Risken Dawson four points, four rebounds and one steal; James Eby three points, five rebounds and three steals; and John Mlnarik two points and one rebound. St. Mary put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by the North Central Knights to the tune of 71-38. The Cardinals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 21 points or more this season. After flying high against North Central on Friday, St. Mary came back down to earth. The St. Mary's Cardinals fell 60-50 to the McCool Junction Mustangs on Saturday. The game marked the Cardinals' lowest-scoring match so far this season.
