The Stuart Bronco Football team traveled to Grand Island last Friday night to take on the Red Hornets from Heartland Lutheran. The Broncos came over victorious, 62-8. The Broncos started out fast and took a 56-0 lead into the half. The Broncos scored one more time in the third to get to 62. It was very even on the offensive and defensive sides of the ball for the Broncos. Drew Schmaderer led the ground attack with 56 yards on just three carries. Two of those carries were for touchdowns. Owen Littau had 33 yards on four carries. Two of his carries resulted in touchdowns. The Broncos got the air attack going early. Kayde Ramm was 5/7 for 78 yards. Three of his completions were touchdowns. Those three touchdowns went to Hunter Tubbs and Schmaderer. Tubbs had four catches for 39 yards and two touchdowns. Ben Paxton had a big reception for 29 yards. The Broncos defense posted a one half shutout. Leading the way for the Broncos was Ramm. Ramm had eight tackles on the evening. Three of those were for sacks. Tubbs recovered a fumble in the endzone for a touchdown to get the defense going. Tubbs, Paxton and Gavynn Mustin each had seven tackles. Schmaderer had six plus an interception and freshman Max Alder, recorded a sack for the Broncos. The Broncos travel to Hampton on Friday to take on the Hawks. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
