Next week the annual Holt County Fair will commence, starting on Monday, August 5 and lasting through Saturday, August 10. The fair is a great venue to show 4H, FFA, Clover Kids and Open Class exhibits. Some recent favorites of the fair include a mobile zoo, miniature golf, carnival midway, pedal tractor pull, Mid-States Rodeo, Demolition Derby, Ranch Rodeo, Beef Rib Promotional Cook-Off, Concerts, Beer Garden, Mutt'n Bust'n, Children's Game Tent and so much more! This year's main attractions include Thursday's Ranch Rodeo, which you can sign up for at 402-340-0317 or email holtcountyfair@gmail.com to take part in the rodeo. Friday will have the crowd frantic with excitement, as expert bull riders from all around will be putting on the Amped Up Pro Bull Tour. Experience the thrill of riders attempting to control their animal and deliver an entertaining show for the crowd! Also on Friday and continuing into Saturday will be the unforgettable performance from Tyler Anthony. Hailing from Nebraska, Tyler Anthony is on the rise with his country and American-rock sound. Saturday brings some destruction with the Demolition Derby at 6:30 p.m. Participants and the crowd are both sure to get a kick out of this one! Also be sure to check out the FREE carnival, provided by River City Carnival during this year's fair. Tickets for the Ranch Rodeo are $10 per adult and $5 per child. The Tickets for the Amped Up Bull Tour and the Demolition Derby are both $15 per adult and $5 per child.
