Village Board Meeting Minutes

The meeting was called to order by Deb Morsbach at 7:31 pm. Those in attendance were Kyle Campbell, Randy Keil and Deb Morsbach. Those absent were Sherryl Sawyer and Nicole Campbell.

The public notice of the monthly board meeting posted on the door was pointed out as was the Open Meeting

Act poster which hangs on the Center wall.

The Board reviewed the minutes of the November 6th, 2023 meeting. Kyle Campbell made a motion to approve the minutes as written and Randy Keil seconded the motion. None opposed. Motion Carried.

The Board discussed the amount to be paid to the current owner of the park to regain the property. Kyle Campbell made a motion to approve the amount requested by the current owner. Randy Keil seconded the motion. None opposed. Motion carried.

The Board discussed the need for gravel to be placed on Settlers and Section Streets. Road gravel will be added to both streets in the Spring.

The Year-End Certification of the City Street Superintendent was discussed and supporting documentation provided.

The Board discussed the date of the next meeting due to the regular meeting date falling on a holiday. A motion was made by Kyle Campbell and seconded by Randy Keil to approve having the next meeting on Wednesday, January 3rd, 2024. None opposed. Motion carried.

The Board reviewed the new contract received from J & J Sanitation which reflected and increase in the rates. Kyle Campbell made a motion to approve the contract and Randy Keil seconded. Motion carried. Randy will be looking into other options for trash removal in the area and report back to the by Board 11/2024.

The Board discussed assisting with the maintenance of the road leading to the Inman Cemetary. Kyle Campbell made a motion to approve Board members and Inman employees to provide volunteer hours and donating the use of the Village of Inman's equipment and fuel. The motion was seconded by Randy Keil. None opposed. Motion carried.

The Board discussed the condition of the Public Library building and needed repairs. The Village of Inman is  looking for someone to do some brick work on the historic library. Barricades and caution tape will be placed around the building.

A copy of the bid taken to the Village of Ewing for the motor grader/payloader. The Village will be notified by Ewing if the bid is accepted.

The Board discussed the updating of the LNM Directory Information. This will be updated and returned.

The Board discussed having a second key for the drop box made. Deb will be responsible for having the key made.

The Board reviewed the bills and treasurers' report. Kyle Campbell made a motion to accept the reports as submitted. Randy Keil seconded the motion. None opposed. Motion carried.

The Board discussed the need for new members on the CORE Board. The CORE Board has three openings and Inman would like to have representation on the Board. The Inman Village Board does pay the CORE Board member representing the areas mileage.

Kyle Campbell made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Randy Keil seconded the motion. None opposed.

Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 8:30 pm.
