Last week, the Stuart Broncos showed some talent in basketball. First up, they faced Anselmo-Merna on Tuesday, Jan. 7, and crushed them 59-30. The Broncos were on the offensive the whole game, not allowing their opponent to score above single digits each quarter. Two days later, the Broncos faced Boyd County. Some back-and-forth scoring led to a closer match, but the Broncos still had the clear advantage. The week's final match was against Neligh-Oakdale, who didn't stand a chance. The Broncos left them in the dust, not allowing them to score more than three points in a quarter. It was the perfect way to end off a great week, especially after taking a loss to West Holt to kick off the year. Against Anselmo-Merna, Gavynn Mustin had 14 points and eight rebounds; Hunter Tubbs had 12 points and six rebounds; Kayde Ramm also 12 points and five steals; Jameson Estill six points; Trey Wallinger five points; Owen Littau four points; Ben Paxton five rebounds and three steals and Drew Schmaderer five rebounds and three steals.
