Monday, Nov. 27th St. Mary's was the host for the D2-3 District One Acts and the St. Mary's One-Act Team came away with the District Championship and qualified for state. St. Mary's placed first, Osmond second and Chambers placed third. Stuart finished in fourth, Allen fifth, Niobrara sixth, Verdigre seventh and Keya Paha eighth. At the D2-2 District at Newman Grove, Pope John came away with the championship trophy. Pope John was first, Scribner-Snyder second, Spalding Academy placed third, followed by St. Edward fourth, Sargent fifth, Newman Grove sixth, Elba seventh and Wheeler Central eighth. St. Mary's and Pope John will compete in the D2 State Championship Wednesday, Dec. 6 at the Johnny Carson Theater in Norfolk. Other results for area schools. The D1-3 District at Wynot was won by Wausa with Rock County placing seventh. In the C1-6 District at Bridgeport, the West Holt One-Act Team competed very well, placing in second behind District Champion Bridgeport.
