The O'Neill Lady Eagles have struggled this past week losing to four of the last five games. The Eagles last victory was on Thursday, Sept 29. against Ord, winning 9-1.

The Eagles coasted to an easy victory over Ord 9-1 on Thursday, Sept. 29. Ord got things moving in the first inning, when Claire Cargill singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run. The Eagles notched three runs in the fifth inning. The big inning was thanks to singles by Mariana Montes, Ryanne Pistulka, and Emma Smith.

Pistulka pitched the Eagles to victory. The pitcher lasted six innings, allowing six hits and one run while striking out seven.

Kristen Ladwig took the loss for Ord. Ladwig allowed 12 hits and nine runs over five and two-thirds innings, striking out two.

O'Neill tallied 12 hits on the day. Smith, Pistulka, Ava Chohon, and Brooklynn Cahoy each racked up multiple hits for O'Neill Eagles Varsity. Cahoy, Chohon, Pistulka and Smith each managed two hits to lead the Eagles.

Ladwig went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Ord in hits.

On Saturday, Oct. 1 at O'Neill Wayne captured lead early to defeat O'Neill. The O'Neill Eagles Varsity fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 7-0 loss. Wayne took the lead on a fielder's choice in the first inning.

The O'Neill Eagles Varsity struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Wayne, giving up seven runs.

Wayne got on the board in the first inning. Brooklyn Kruse hit into a fielder's choice, scoring two runs.

A triple by Emma Smith in the first inning was a positive for O'Neill.

Sammi Gubbels was the winning pitcher for Wayne. The bulldog surrendered zero runs on three hits over four and two-thirds innings, striking out six. Mackenzie Nissen threw one and one-third innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Smith took the loss for O'Neill. The hurler allowed seven hits and seven runs over five innings, striking out five.

Smith went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead O'Neill Eagles Varsity in hits. O'Neill Eagles Varsity was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Mariana Montes made the most plays with six.

Liberty Titiml led Wayne with two hits in three at bats. Wayne didn't commit a single error in the field. Logan Miller had the most chances in the field with six.

In the second game on Saturday the  Eagles couldn't catch up to Pierce.

The  Eagles watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 4-3 loss to Pierce on Saturday. Pierce took the lead on a single in the first inning.

Lauren Darnall pitched Pierce to victory. The fireballer allowed three hits and two runs over five innings, striking out five.

Pistulka took the loss for O'Neill Eagles Varsity. Pistulka lasted five innings, allowing six hits and four runs while striking out seven.

Kylie Dvorak started the game for Pierce. The hurler surrendered one run on zero hits over one inning, striking out one

Mariana Montes led O'Neill Eagles Varsity with three hits in three at bats.

Kayle DeBoer went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Pierce in hits.

On Monday, Oct.3  in district action the O'Neill Eagles Struggled to find groove against GINW

The Eagles had trouble keeping up with GINW in a 9-1 loss on Monday.

Ava Laurent led the GINW to victory in the pitcher's circle. The bulldog surrendered one run on zero hits over six innings, striking out 15 and walking one.

Pistulka took the loss for O'Neill Eagles Varsity. The pitcher went five innings, allowing nine runs on nine hits.

GINW tallied nine hits. Kamrynn Mings, Kylie Caspersen, and Avyn Urbanski each collected multiple hits for GINW.
