Bristow — Roger Lee Eilers, 69, of Bristow, died peacefully Friday, Nov. 1, 2024 at his home in Bristow surrounded by his family. Memorial graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 15, 2024 at the Rosedale Covenant Cemetery north of Bristow. Pastor Glen Stahlecker will officiate. Lunch will follow at the Bristow Community Hall in Bristow. The Eilers family request that if you are unable to attend the graveside service please go to the hall and the family will meet you there after the service. Memorials may be made to the family for future designation. Biglin's Mortuary in Spencer is in charge of the arrangements. Roger was born on July 19, 1955 in Lynch, to Henry Frank and Mavis June (Coburn) Eilers. He graduated from Spencer High School in 1973. On April 1, 1978 he married the love of his life Sharon Svatos. To this union four sons were born Randy, Jimmy, Thomas and Jerry. After graduation Roger worked as the main mechanic for Luedke Implement in Spencer. He ran his own shop as a mechanic working on farm equipment. Then he worked for Prouty Construction and John Prouty Construction running heavy equipment and worked on all the equipment. He worked for Sinclair Sand and Gravel along with his friend Jeff Sinclair. Roger helped many friends and neighbors with farming, snow removal, lawn mowing and anything else that needed done. He could fix anything and if he didn't have the right parts, he could make something work. Roger was a great person all around. His great sense of humor will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Roger kept tabs on his parents and helped them in their last years. He will be missed by all. Roger is survived by his wife Sharon; four sons Randy of Bristow, Jimmy of O'Neill, Thomas of Bristow and Jerry of Ayr; four siblings Duane (Mary) Eilers of York, Joyce (Rob) Gibbs of North Platte, Larry (Tami) Eilers of Lynch and Kathy (Mike) McCleary of Norfolk;two brothers in-law Dale and Ricky Svatos; one sister-in-law Susan Svatos; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; a special great-niece Teagan Reeder; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, mother- and father-in-law Walter and Lorene Svatos, one brother Marlin Eilers, grandparents and his best friend and side kick Robert "Bob" Eilers.
