Rhonda Kay Rodgers, 61, of O'Neill, died Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2024 at Avera St. Anthony's Hospital in O'Neill. Memorial visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 10, 2025 at Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill. A celebration of life service will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 10, 2025 at the mortuary in O'Neill. Pastor Wayne Owens will officiate. Memorials may be made to the family for future designation. Rhonda was born Aug. 28, 1963 in O'Neill, to Royce and Shirley (Kopejtka) Wright. She attended Inman Public Elementary School and then Orchard High School. Rhonda married Michael Rodgers from Missouri. Michael was in the U.S. Army and she traveled with him to various bases that he was stationed at, including a stint in Germany. Rhonda and Mike lived in Junction City, KS, Norfolk and O'Neill before settling in the Springfield, MO area. They later divorced. Rhonda worked for many years at an Assisted Living Center. She moved back to O'Neill in 2023 to be closer to her family as her health began to fail. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, being outside, and was a huge fan of Twin Bing candies. Rhonda is survived by her five siblings Laurie (Dennis) Hruza of Ord, Gwen (Anthony) Leventon of California, Tyler (Anita) Wright of O'Neill, Troy (Melanie) Wright of Battle Creek and Robbie (Chet) Wright of O'Neill; one aunt Carolyn Sass of Huron, SD; one uncle Gary (Diane) Kopejtka of Lincoln; her beloved dog Buddy; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a baby brother Anthony Burck, a niece Tressa Wright, a nephew Adam Hruza, Kali Ann Dilsaver, several aunts and uncles and her dog Lovie.
