Northeast Nebraska All-Star Football Teams Announced

The coaches, officials, and players have been announced for the Northeast Nebraska All-Star Football Classic. 

The ninth annual event will be held on Saturday, June 11 at Veterans Memorial Field in Norfolk at 12 p.m. Troy Evans of Ponca will be the head coach for the ‘Red' team while Plainview's Kyle Schmidt will be in charge of the ‘White'. Players from O'Neill St. Mary's, Summerland and West Holt were among those selected for the event.

Evans' staff will include Cody Volk of Pender, Ryan Olander of Ponca, Josh Watchorn of Homer, Allan Gottula of Laurel-Concord/Coleridge, and Aaron Carlson of Plainview.  Schmidt's coaching staff include Norfolk High's Chris Koozer, Elgin Public/Pope John's Greg Wemhoff, Riverside's Corey Valasek, Plainview's Jeremy Peter, and Battle Creek's Andrew Carlson.

Game officials for the 9th Red vs. White Northeast Nebraska All-Star Football Classic have been announced for the 2022 contest, according to Jeff Bellar, President of the Board of Directors. The five-man crew, as voted on by the Classic's Board of Directors, include Tod Heier from Columbus, and Eric Ceder, Terry Rinkol, Mark Burenheide, and Matt Euse. 

The player rosters for the game have also been announced.
