Omaha — Margery "Marge" L. Graham, 89, of Omaha, formerly of O'Neill, died Monday, Jan. 27, 2025. The family will be having a private celebration of life service at a later date. Memorials may be made to support "Peggy's Place" at the Methodist Hospital in Omaha. Donations can be sent to Methodist Hospital Foundation, 8701 West Dodge Rd, Suite 450, Omaha, NE 68114 in Marge's name. Heafey-Hoffmann-Dworak-Cutler West Center Chapel in Omaha is in charge of the arrangements. Marge was born in Ord, and grew up in O'Neill. She worked as a soda jerk in high school and served a lot of ice cream sundaes. After high school she moved to Omaha, where she met and was married to her husband Don for 65 years. She stayed home and took care of their three children. She loved being a homemaker. Once the children were grown, she earned a commercial art degree and created many beautiful paintings and drawings. She and Don enjoyed traveling all over Europe. They also loved to spend time at their condo in Marco Island every winter. She was a big fan of Husker football, and they attended many bowl games. Her family was very important to her. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed tending to and admiring her flower garden and having cocktails on the deck overlooking the lake. Marge is survived by one daughter Nancy Graham (Brad) Cagle; one son Donald Graham Jr; seven grandchildren Houston (Elena) Cagle, Tori (Adam) Peitz, Nick Cagle, Emily (Connor) Adamson, Dean (Madison) Graham, Jenny (Cassie) Ray and Matt Graham; and five great-grandchildren Nora and Holden Peitz, Naomi and Finn Cagle and Kenley Adamson. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Don, one daughter Peggy Clark, one son-in-law Dave Phelps, one great-grandson Maverick Peitz, her parents Wayne and Margaret Norman and two sisters Bev Baumeister and Jackie Roberts.
