Chambers — Lynn Elaine (Spry) Waterman, 74, of Chambers, died Sunday, May 26, 2024 at the Avera Care Center in Creighton.

Visitation was held Friday, May 31, 2024 at Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 1, 2024 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Chambers. Pastor Leif Hasskarl officiated.

Burial was in the Chambers Cemetery in Chambers.

Memorials may be made to the family for future designation.

  Lynn Elaine Spry was born Sept. 24, 1949 in O'Neill, to Cecil and Cora (Sterns) Spry. She lived in O'Neill until she was four years old. Her family then moved to El Paso, Texas where she attended school and received her GED. She worked for a short time as a secretary before her family moved back to Nebraska in 1978.

She married Martin Waterman on April 30, 1980 at Christ Lutheran Church in O'Neill. To this union a son Tyrel was born. The couple moved to Chambers where they made their home.

  Lynn was a lifetime member of the VFW Auxiliary, NRA and St. Paul Lutheran Church. She also helped out with the St. Paul's Ladies Aide.

  Lynn enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and family. She also enjoyed playing card games, reading, sewing and silversmithing. Lynn had a love for rescuing puppies and bringing them home to raise.

Lynn is survived by her husband of 44 years Martin Waterman of Chambers; one son Tyrel (Jennifer) Waterman of O'Neill; and four grandchildren Andre, Adon, Toni Marie and EliAnna.

  She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters Janie, Lonna, Vonny and Mavis; and two brothers Bernie and Orin.
