Springfield, SD — Lynelle Faye Stahlecker, 77, of Springfield, SD, formerly of O'Neill, died Tuesday, May 10, 2022 in Humphrey.

A celebration of life service will  be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Christ Lutheran Church in O'Neill. 

Burial will be in the O'Neill Cemetery in O'Neill.

Memorials may be made to the family for future designation.

Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill is in charge of the arrangements.

Lynelle was born Oct. 10, 1944 to Curtis and Ella Lunn in Burke, SD. She was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fairfax and attended Fairfax High School, graduating in 1962. 

Lynelle married Milo Stahlecker on July 7, 1962 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Naper. The couple made their home in O'Neill and were blessed with three daughters Mari, Michelle and Melissa. 

Lynelle worked in the O'Neill Elementary lunchroom before her and Milo purchased the O'Neill Lockers in 1981. After they sold the locker in 1997, they moved to Springfield, SD in 1999. There, Lynelle was a med aide at the Springfield Assisted Living Center in Springfield, SD. 

Lynelle loved reading romance books, watching "Days of Our Lives," camping and cooking (making the best knefla, goodey beans and potato salad). She also loved Polka dancing, riding motorcycles with dad, playing in her card club, going to many of her grandchildren's events and being with family and friends. If you ever had a tootsie roll, she always said Grandma needs just one.

Lynelle is survived by her three daughters Mari (Lee) Lieb of Omaha, Michelle Campbell of O'Neill and Melissa (Tim) Howard of Humphrey; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother Eugene Lunn of Vermillion, SD; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Curtis and Ella Lunn, her husband Milo in 2019,  step-dad Jake Mueller and one sister Bette Denker.
