On Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at 8:25 a.m., the Holt County Sheriff's Office, with the assistance of the O'Neill Police Department, Brown County Sheriff's Office K9 and Nebraska State Patrol served a search warrant at 49164 Highway 20, O'Neill. Substances believed to be methamphetamine, heroin, concentrated THC, marijuana and prescription medication – without a prescription were seized during the execution of the search warrant. Items believed to be drug paraphernalia and a weapon were also seized during the search. William Liermann, age 63, of O'Neill was arrested at the scene for alleged possession of a controlled substance – heroin; possession of a controlled substance - Oxycodone; possession of a controlled substance – Diazepam; possession of a controlled substance – concentrated THC; possession of a controlled substance – Clonazepam; possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute – Hydrocodone; possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person; and possession of drug paraphernalia. Shawn Crist, age 34, of O'Neill was arrested at the scene for alleged possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia. James Liermann, age 53, of Englewood, CO was issued a citation for alleged possession of marijuana – less than an ounce. James Liermann was released at the scene. William Liermann and Shawn Crist were transported from the scene and incarcerated at the Holt County Jail.
