The O'Neill Eagles had a rough time last week, coming down short in both games played. The first game the Eagles played was against the Summerland Bobcats last Tuesday. Scores in the end were close, but the Eagles weren't able to make the necessary push and fell behind in the end. The end score was 0-3; 18-25, 14-25 and 18-25. Leading the Eagles was Wreece Liewer with 12 kills, one ace serve, one block, 13 digs and seven set assists; Autumn Hilker four kills, 11 digs and two set assists; Olivia Young three kills, three ace serves, one block and 17 digs; Ashley Sidak three kills and eight digs; Keeley Chavez two kills, nine digs and 16 set assists; Haley Shluns one kill and nine digs. The Eagles faced off against the Pierce Bluejays last Thursday. The Eagles started off well in the first set, but as time went on in the match, the Eagles started to falter more and more. This game's final score was 0-3; 18-25, 13-25 and 10-25. Liewer led the Eagles again with nine kills, one ace serve, one block, one dig and seven set assists; Young four kills, one block, seven digs and one set assist; Sidak four kills and four digs; Hilker two kills, three blocks and one set assist; Keeley Chavez two kills, one block, three set assists and 10 set assists; Schluns two blocks and five digs.
