The St. Mary's Lady Cardinals went 1-1 at home last Thursday, falling to Summerland and winning over Plainview. The match with Summerland was close in the first two sets, with the Bobcats winning 25-22 in the first set and falling in the second 25-21. The Bobcats took the third set easily, 25-14. Leading the Cards was Gracie Williamson with five kills, one ace serve, one block, and five digs; Anna Belle Barlow with five kills, three ace serves, and four set assists; Pyper Ickes with four kills, one ace serve, two blocks and five digs; Samantha Ache four kills; Anna Otte two kills, one block and three digs; and Peyton Thompson five digs. In the match against Plainview, the Cards went 2-1, winning 25-12, 19-25, and 25-18. Ickes led the Cards in this match with seven kills, one ace serve, one block and 16 digs; Barlow had six kills, one block, eight digs and four set assists; Otte had five kills, two blocks and three digs; Williamson five kills, two blocks and five digs; Adyson Peterson two kills, three ace serves, two blocks, nine digs and 18 set assists; Ache two kills; and Thompson one ace serve. In a regular play on Tuesday, Sept. 3, the Cards traveled to Winside and downed the Wildcats 3-0, winning 25-20, 25-18, and 25-21. Williamson led the Cards with 12 kills, one ace serve, two blocks and five digs; Ickes with nine kills, one ace serve, two blocks and eight digs; Barlow two blocks and eight digs; Otte with six kills, one block and four digs; Peterson two kills and one ace serve; Thompson one kill and five digs.
