Monowi — Kevin Jay Wilson, 67, of rural Monowi, died Saturday, March 9, 2024 at his home in rural Monowi surrounded by the love of his immediate family and siblings.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the family for future designation.

Brockhaus Funeral Home in Niobrara is in charge of the arrangements.

Kevin was born on Aug. 1, 1956, to Robert and Joy (Tuch) Wilson in Lynch. He was the third oldest of six children. He graduated from Niobrara High School in 1974. 

On Jan. 18, 1983, Kevin married Carla Rihanek and five children were born to this union. 

He enjoyed many activities including spending time with his family, fishing, hunting and playing cards.

Kevin is survived by his wife Carla of Monowi; four children Heath (Sarah) of Page, Amy of Lincoln, Aaron (Stacy) of O'Neill and Kara (Bobby) of Falls City; 12 grandchildren Matthew, Hunter, Hope, Tatum, Luke, Avery, Adam, Kalix, Evynn, Annzlee, Blakely and Oaklyn; his father Robert “Jr.” Wilson of Creighton; three brothers Chad (Ginny), Carson and Kerry Joe (Barb), all of Bloomfield; his sister Robyn (Jay) of Lincoln; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. 

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Ray and Marie Wilson and Lloyd and Elsie Tuch, mother Joy Wilson, one brother Rocky Wilson, one son Sgt. Adam J. Bosley, one grandson Vance Heiser and two nephews Andrew Wilson and Chad Olson.
