Karen "Kerry" Lynn Flower, 64, of O'Neill died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2023 at Country View Care and Rehab in Wayne.

Memorial visitation was held on Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2023 at the Assembly of God Church in O'Neill with a prayer service.

Memorial funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 19, 2023 at the church in O'Neill. Rev. Mike Durre will officiate.

Burial will be in the O'Neill Cemetery in O'Neill.

Memorials may be made to the family for future designation.

Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill is in charge of the arrangements.

Karen was born on July 22, 1959 in Winner, SD to John and Wilma (Delany) Hotz. Her family lived in Burke and she attended school there. Kerry later earned her GED.  

Kerry married Jim Lunn in 1975 and they lived north of Atkinson while Jim worked for National Farms. She was a child care provider. They had one daughter Nicole Lunn. They later divorced.

Kerry met Keith Flower in Hastings and the couple was married in 1995. They had two daughters Katie and Abbie. The couple later divorced.  

Kerry worked for many years as a breakfast cook at the Blarney Stone Restaurant in O'Neill. She also cleaned several businesses in O'Neill. She retired due to health reasons in 2016.

  Kerry was an active member of the Assembly of God Church in O'Neill.  

She loved to read, scrolling Facebook, canning and watching true crime documentaries. She was a cat lover and was always feeding the neighborhood cats. She loved spending time with her family, especially her kids. 

  Kerry is survived by her three children Nicole Lunn of O'Neill, Katie Flower of Wayne and Abbie (Tyler) Randall of Rapid City, SD; and one sister Ginny (DJ) DeJager of Rapid City, SD.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers John Cyrus Hotz and Robert William Hotz.
