Julia L. Powell, 90, of O'Neill, died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2025 at Arbor Care in Neligh. Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, 2025 at Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Clearwater. Pastor Chad Boggs will officiate. Burial will be in McCoy Cemetery at Meadow Grove. Memorials may be made to the family for future designation. Julia was born on July 22, 1934 to Jacob and Genevieve (Cobler) Worley at Norfolk. She attended school at Norfolk. Julia was united in marriage to Raynold Powell on July 3, 1950 at Stanton. She worked as a waitress and did some cooking at local restaurants, babysitting and sold Avon. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, doing crafts, playing cards and Bingo. Julia was always known for sending cards for everyone's birthday and special occasions. Julia is survived by her five children Donna Koehler of O'Neill, Guy (Medea) Powell of Creighton, Sherry (James) Babcock of Winnetoon, Starla Lerner of Stanton and Emma Powell of Clearwater; 14 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; one sister Jennie Schrage of Clearwater; one sister-in-law Maxine Worley of Tilden; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband (1970); four brothers Albert, Ernest (Patricia), Glen and Johnny; two sisters Maxine Dow and Vivian Watson Schrage (Calvin Watson and Claude Schrage); one brother-in-law Cyril Schrage; one son-in-law Herman Koehler; and special friend Eugene Armstrong.
