Jill was born on Feb. 10, 1957 to Garlan and DonnieAnn (Hilgert) Reed in Norfolk. Jill attended high school in Plainview and later pursued a career at Region 4 before marrying Daryl. She found fulfillment in her work, particularly enjoying the interactions with clients and cherishing the encounters with them over the years. Jill dedicated herself to raising her four children, leaving a lasting impact on their lives.

A devoted member of the Catholic church, Jill worshipped at St. Joseph Church in Amelia and generously shared her time by teaching CCD for several years. Her faith was an integral part of her life and guided her actions and interactions with others.

In her leisure time, Jill found joy in quilting, showcasing her creativity through intricate designs that captured the essence of her craftsmanship. Jill was always an artist. Prior to quilting, she also engaged in cross-stitch and could draw, something that passed down to her children. Her love of baking was also something that was loved and will be greatly missed.

In the summer of 2022, Jill received a cancer diagnosis. Over the two years, she waged a courageous battle against the disease. Throughout this time, Jill's unwavering spirit and positive attitude shone brightly. She formed deep connections with the nurses, doctors and hospice staff who cared for her, turning even the most difficult days into moments filled with warmth and shared laughter.

Jill will be remembered for her unwavering dedication to her family, her passion for her craft and her commitment to her faith. Her ornery sense of humor and positive attitude will be greatly missed. She leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity and devotion that will be cherished by all who knew her.
