The O'Neill Hometown Christmas went off without a hitch despite the bitter cold wind chills of Friday evening. The day started around 4 p.m. with activities for everyone at the Handlebend, including cookie decorating, soup being served and Santa and Mrs. Clause on hand to listen to the desires of the young children expecting Christmas to come in a few weeks. The Lighted Parade started at 7 p.m. with award winners being: Christmas Star Award - Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church; Elfin Magic Award - Handlebend; Tin Soldier Award - Lori's Daycare; Santa's Sleigh Award - Jason Roeder and Melissa Theisen; Rudolph's Best Friend - Winnetoon BBQ; Fruitcake Award - McDonalds.
