John Hammerlun opens the meeting at 6:00 PM.
Present: Dan Drueke, Tom Welsh, Kevin DeKay, Dan Pribil, Dustin Breiner Supervisor and Bill Babutzke Weed Superintendent.
Minutes Approved: Dan Drueke made a motion to approve the minutes and Dan Pribil seconded. All approved.
Claims Approved: Kevin DeKay made a motion to approve the claims and Dan Pribil seconded. All approved.
Old Business: N/A
New Business: Shredding, the shredder has 160 hours on the machine now and can put 250 by April. Shredding has been done in all districts and will continue in the northeast district next week. New blades on Diamond Shredder and NMC repaired the cab air intake which was under warranty.
Weed board will continue with the same fees for force spray as last year. Those fees are as follows:
$250.00 Dollar management fee.
Minimum charge of $200.00 an hour minimum one hour, or can be two times the applicator charge.
Two times the chemical charge.
$1.70 mileage one way.
Raises: Dan Pribil made a motion for the Weed Superintendent to mirror the longevity pay increase same as Road Department and Tom Welsh seconded. All approved.
Kevin DeKay made a motion to raise Bill Babutzke annual salary to $51,507.60 and Dan Drueke seconded. All approved.
Tom Welsh made a motion to raise Jennifer Koenig to $700.00 a month and Dan Pribil seconded. All approved.
Information on the following list of twelve noxious weeds found in Nebraska can be located at the neweed.org website with sufficient information on each noxious weed.
Canada Thistle, Musk Thistle, Plumeless Thistle, Purple Loosestrife, Spotted Knapweed, Diffuse Knapweed, Saltcedar, Phragmites, Giant Knotweed, Japanese Knotweed, Sericea Lespedeza, Leafy Spurge.
Next meeting will be at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 10, 2022.
