Chair John Hammerlun called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm

Present: Dan Drueke, Tom Welsh, Kevin DeKay, Dan Pribil, Chair John Hammerlun, Supervisor Dustin Breiner and Weed Superintendent William Babutzke. 

Minutes Approved: Dan Drueke made a motion to approve the minutes and Dan Pribil seconded. All approved

Claims Approved: Tom Welsh made a motion to approve the claims and Dan Pribil seconded. All approved.

Old Business: Two quotes were submitted to the board for residing the weed shop. D and J Construction LLC and FCF Construction submitted quotes. Dustin Breiner made a recommendation of Option 1 and 2 of D & J Construction  LLC and Tom Welsh seconded the recommendation; Option 1 and 2 D & J Construction LLC. All approved.       

New Business: Shredding is completed with 246 hours on skid loader. 

The Nebraska Department of Agriculture annual report is completed. The Weed Department has one file still open on uncontrolled noxious weeds. Bill received a score of 3350 out of 3400 points. Congratulations William Babutzke!

Spring help has started with Byron Wilson returning and one additional inquiry not yet hired. 

Information on the following list of twelve noxious weeds found in Nebraska can be located at the neweed.org website with sufficient information on each noxious weed. 

Canada Thistle, Musk Thistle, Plumeless Thistle, Purple Loosestrife, Spotted Knapweed, Diffuse Knapweed, Saltcedar, Phragmites, Giant Knotweed, Japanese Knotweed, Sericea Lespedeza, Leafy Spurge.

Next Meeting will be Thursday May 11th, at 7:00 PM at the Weed Department Office.  

Kevin DeKay Made a motion to adjourn the meeting and Dan Pribil seconded. All approved. 

Meeting adjourned at 7:41 pm.
