Proceedings - January 9, 2025

The Holt County Board of Supervisors met in statutory session with all members present. This meeting publicized pursuant to Section 84-1411 R.R.S. 1943.  Notice of meeting given in advance thereof by publication in paper as shown by Affidavit of Publication on December 26, 2024, in the Holt County Independent.  The agenda for all meetings are kept continuously current and is available for public inspection at the County Clerk's office during normal business hours.  The agenda is held open until 24 hours prior to the meeting. The Board has the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting.

Following the swearing in of the newly elected officials by Judge Burdick, County Clerk Pavel convened the re-organizational meeting at 9:45 A.M. with all members present.  

Supervisor Tielke was appointed Chairman for the Board of Supervisors and Supervisor Frahm was appointed Chairman for the Board of Equalization for 2025.

Approved minutes of December 31, 2024.  

Designated Board of Representatives, Delegates and Committee Assignments for 2025.

Re-appointed Gary P. Connot as Road Superintendent, Marv Fritz as Planning & Zoning Administrator, Deb Hilker as Emergency Manager and Ken Stenka as Veterans Service Officer for 2025.

Weed Superintendent Bill Babutzke presented his Quarterly Report.

Approved increase to the hourly road department employees' wages $1.00 per hour and will continue with $.05 for every consecutive year after one full year of service.

Approved increase to the distributor and chip spreader operators $1.00 per hour above the $1.00 hourly road department increase.

Approved salary increase for the Truck Foreman to $67,000.00 year, to increase the salary for the Lead Foreman to $79,500.00 and to increase the Road Superintendent to $85,000.00 a year which includes the $9,750.00 stipend that is received from the State for the Road Superintendent to have a Class A Bridge Inspection license.

Approved annual salary for Planning and Zoning Administrator to $9,500.00.

Approved increase to the Courthouse Custodian salary to $46,200.00 and to increase the part-time custodian wage to $19.50 per hour and to increase the Annex Custodian yearly cleaning contract to $1,750.00 a month.

Approved annual salary for the Veterans Service Officer at $54,700.00 and Emergency Manager annual salary to $30,400.00.

Approved Resolution #2025-01 to designate the following banks to be designated depositories of the public monies for Holt County: Great Plains State Bank, Pinnacle Bank, Bank First, Chambers State Bank, Tri-County Bank, Nebraska Bank, First Interstate Bank and Nebraska Public Agency Investment Trust.
