The Holt County Animal Shelter here in O'Neill has been nominated to be included as a part of the Jordan's Way National Tour starting March 23! The folks over at HCAS would like to invite you to this event in order to help raise money to care for the homeless dogs who come into their care.
Jordan's Way is not only a great opportunity for shelters all over the nation to raise the money they need to keep operating, but it also let's the community get involved in the fun!
A few of the past challenges and games that take place are the ice bucket challenge, a pie throwing and letting the dogs lick someone's face full of peanut butter.
In 2022 alone, it cost about $110,000 to keep the shelter's doors open, about $70,000 of that came from donations and fund-raisers. This will be a very unique and fun way to help raise the money needed to keep the facility open so the homeless dogs can have some place to call home.
Join the HCAS staff on March 23 at 500 S Logan St O'Neill, NE, or visit their Facebook page where the event will be streamed LIVE! The event will run for three hours, from 6 to 9 p.m. Donations can be sent to their PayPal, mail to Holt County Animal Shelter PO box 563 O'Neill, NE 68763 or you can also drop off your donation during the live event. The dogs will surely enjoy seeing some new faces, and potentially even finding their new fur-ever home!
Welcome to the discussion.
