Gary L. Braun

Ewing — Gary Lee Braun, 75, of Ewing, died Sunday, Jan. 12, 2025, at his home in Ewing.

Graveside services will be held at the Cottonwood Cemetery in Burwell at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the family for future designation.

Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill is in charge of the arrangements.

Gary was born on April 3, 1949 to Ben and Helen (Scripter) Braun in Atkinson. Gary grew up in Atkinson and attended Atkinson Public Schools up until his junior year. He drove truck for many years in Colorado while working for Neal Madsen before moving to Ewing in 2012.

In Gary's younger years he enjoyed riding Harley Motorcycles. He also loved to go hunting, fishing and just being outdoors. He was so excited to take his grandson on his first hunting trip. He also enjoyed spending time target shooting with his granddaughter.

Gary is survived by his daughter Angela (Joe) Sayers of Inman, two grandchildren Evan and Grace Sayers of Inman, one sister Bonnie Madsen of Burwell and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson Colton, one brother-in-law Neal Madsen, one niece Kay Classen, one great-niece Aimee Melling, one great-nephew Andrew Schissler and one nephew-in-law Chris Melling.                    4
