The Central City Bison came to O'Neill Friday and squashed the Eagle's hopes of winning a home match in a 49-26 defeat. The Eagles held on until the second quarter when the Bison let loose scoring 23 unanswered points and led at the half 29-6. The Bison's cruised to the win, scoring twice in the third and once in the fourth. The Eagles quarterback, Landon Classen had a good night scoring three of the four touchdowns for the Eagles while having 18 carries for 106 yards and threw the ball 17 times for ten completions. Clay Shaw had the Eagle's other touchdown on a 10-yard carry. Central City ran 73 plays for 21 first downs and had nine penalties for 50 yards. The Eagles ran 67 plays for 14 first downs and had six penalties for 56 yards. Leading the Eagles was Classen with 106 yards, Fabian Acevedo 20 carries for 68 yards, Shaw one carry for ten yards, Brady Eichelberger one carry for nine yards, Levi Drueke two carries for three yards, Pryor Mathews one carry for three yards, and Karter Reed two carries for one yard. Drew Morrow led in receiving with three catches for 27 yards, Acevedo two catches for 25 yards, Shaw three catches for 20 yards, Sean Conventry one catch for 15 yards, and Walker Peter one catch for 13 yards. Classen led the defense with 15 tackles, Korbyn Grenier nine tackles, Drueke and Acevedo and Salvador Rodriguez with five tackles each, Ryder Pokorny and Eichelberger four tackles each, Morrow, Shaw and Coventry three tackles each, Tucker Shabram two tackles, and Noah Shabram and Dominic Hamilton with one tackle each. Pokorny, Acevedo and Shaw each had one interception and Grenier one blocked extra point.
