Last week the O'Neill Eagle Boys' Track Team competed at the Broken Bow Invitational. The team competed against ten other Class B schools. The boys team placed seventh. Leading the Eagles was senior Keaton Wattier winning the 110 high hurdles with a time of 15.15. Freshman, Pryor Mathews, made finals and placed eighth. Sophomore Drew Morrow placed fourth in the 300 intermediate hurdles. In the sprints Michael McCallister made finals and placed eighth. Brady Thompson placed fifth in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:11.63. In the relays the O'Neill Eagles placed fourth in the 4 x 100 and 4 x 800. Sean Coventry won the high jump with 5' 11”. “Overall, the Eagles improved. Our goal is to get better every week,” said Coach Hilker.
