From the Holt County Roads Department: Weather permitting, work began on June 12, 2023, on County Road 870 in Holt County. The project is located 6 miles south of Atkinson Highway 11 and 2 miles west on 870 Road. Husker Grading of Burwell is the contractor for this project. Work includes removing existing culvert, replacing with metal culverts and concrete paving. County Road 870 will be closed to thru traffic until the project is completed, which is expected to be in mid July.
